Zurich's Shanghai office, located in Raffles City at People's Square, has been relocated. Therefore, on the eve of October, 1st 2011, Zurich has donated a total of 222 pieces of well-preserved furniture from their office, including sofas and tea tables, to the China Children and Teenagers' Fund. It not only helped this organization who needed office furniture, but at the same time, also promoted the concept of recycling. Zurich Insurance has always been committed to providing solutions to sustainable development of communities and has advocated the concept of low-carbon footprint and environmental protection by persistent actions of public welfare and charities.
As a pioneer in China’s public foundation, since its establishment, the China Children and Teenagers' Fund has enjoyed great attention and deep concern from the party and the government, abided by the purpose of dedicatedly serving welfare projects, children and teenagers’ education, tightly centered on the real needs of children, continually innovated the concept of fund-raising salvation, explored the long-term mechanism of the operation of public projects, gave full play of charity organizations in the social security system.. What’s more, the fund has planned, implemented and fostered two distinctive welfare brands for children, “Spring Bud Program”, aiming at helping girls, and “Health Plan”, focused on supporting the health and safety of children. The two brands have played an indispensible role in exploring operation mode of charity, enriching developing theory of charity and promoting the vigorous development of China’s charity.
