At Zurich, we have a bold ambition to be one of the most responsible and impactful businesses in the world. This means striving for a positive impact on society and our planet in everything we do, from the way we treat our customers and employees, to the suppliers we choose to work with and the companies we invest in. We want to be judged on actions, not words. We’ve developed a sustainability strategy, which sets out our plans to deliver on three key themes: Planet, Customer and People.
Planet
Planet sustainability means speeding up emissions reductions across our own value chain in line with science-based targets; supporting our customers with their energy transition plans; and helping companies, organizations and the communities we serve, enhance their capacity to better manage climate risk and improve their resilience.
Customer
Customer sustainability means increasing our understanding of their needs in order to serve them better, growing our range of sustainable products and services; and supporting policyholders in their sustainability transition to build a brighter future together.
People
When we talk about people, sustainability at Zurich relates to the way we treat our employees; our interactions with customers; and our investments in the most vulnerable members of society in collaboration with the Z Zurich Foundation. We support our employees to grow their talents, giving them the chance to acquire new skills and refresh their existing ones, and providing a network of senior mentors.
